1. We never conquered Scotland, it was the one country that entered the comonwealth that we couldn't conquer, it was King James that united the two, dont blame us for that.
2. What we did was barbaric, but bear in mind you were behaving in exactly the same way. The conflict has been going on for over 1500 years and the way both sides behaved in the first 1300 years is dispicable. I choose not to go for the 'Braveheart' view of what went on and recognise that both sides behaved the same way. We are taking what was happening out of context, back then it was normal, now its barbaric. In 500 years how we are behaving now will be seen as barbaric.
3. Im in complete support of the SNP, i believe that if a country doesnt want to be a part of the union they shouldnt be, if a majority rule in a referendum says that the country wants to be independent, they should be independent.
4. You legally are primarily British and secondarily Scotish/Welsh/English/N. Irish. Whether you like it or not, but being British is one of the most valuable nationalities in the world, its more valuable than american because of our welfare system. If you have, you dont want to be loosing it, so i wouldnt be all 'im not proud' its childish, ignorant and ignores the fact that its your kings fault that you are British.
