Are you fucking serious???
SF will compete don't you worry, and I fail to see how these Clubs like Galway with their massive debts are going to do anything to improve our standing in europe. The business model that all profits go straight into youth development is pointless to you?
If it is then you can pretty much just feck off, because i have nothing footballing to discuss with the likes of you.
Don't get me wrong, there's A LOT wrong with the League of Ireland and its clubs (us, Bohs, Cork, Pats, Sligo, Derry, even Rovers in a different way) but the way to go isn't replacing these established clubs with fanless, historyless franchises. We've been around for 80 years and don't plan on going anywhere any time soon despite our current financial woes.

What exactly do you mean by all profits go into youth development? How do SF make profits in the first place? Do you pay the players?(genuine question).

1.Not fanless, we're 2 fucking years old man

2.You were formed in the 70s, 50 years after the leagues inception, you'd think that you would be more humble. Also, you're basically saying that now new clubs can form up, or is it that SF got to go into the FD (i left out the E :agree: ), should we have started from the bottom and worked our way up, even though its obvious we are able to compete at this level. Franchise? Its a community club for 600000 people, its hardly some pointless publicity stunt. I fail to see how SF's exsistence is anything but positive. Fingal deserves the club. Unless you think help special needs football is franchisy :andyandbarcelona:

3.SF makes profits through endorsements and corporate investment from community business and its gets a share of rates proportional to the number of players it trains/take with regard to the 75-ish clubs in the region. Some players are payed a fair few are subsidised. No government money goes to it.

In a nutshell

Fingal County Council support not funds+ Local Business+Matchday revenue  = SF

I never expect you to feel this way.

Im headin to bed, ttyl

We were founded in 1937.

Other than that I'm too tired to keep this up.

Night.
