It's a good movie, kind of overrated in here though imo.
But it doesn't fit. Most people would hate Tyler Durden, yet they like him in the movie. It's the same thing with House MD. Lots of people watch House and lots of people kind of like him in the show, but they would hate his guts in real life. What's with this lack of honesty?

Liking a character in a movie/tv show isn't the same as liking a person.

So I watched Fight Club for the first time. My first reaction was: I should have seen it sooner. Anyway, Brad Pitt was good. Very good. I don't care what people say about him, he's just a very good actor. But what's intriguing: why do so many people like it?

I mean, most of you hate the concept. Look at you. Seriously. Look at you. How can you like Fight Club? Now I know the Narrator's a bit insane and I know that Tyler Durden has his flaws, but I choose to not to see all that.
What concept?

And who told you everyone hates that concept?
Jack,

it's going to be very hard to answer that question without saying something about religion. The connection is too obvious. So I won't explain this, because we both know 99% of the people out there hate total freedom.

About freedom and today's governments, I recently found out that Syria's current ideology isn't democratic (well obviously) but is "Social Nationalism". I thought they'd just be some crazy rightist country but it looks like I was wrong. I had never heard the term Social Nationalism before but they claim that they didn't copy it from the Nazis nor their term "National Socialism".

Yea, and I like Blow but would never sell coke, I love Snatch but would never kill someone for a diamond, I love Pulp Fiction, but I'm not ever going to do anything that is depicted in that movie.

I just did something that is going to piss off all the Europeans...

I had to soak my shower head in CLR all night to get the lime and calcium buildup off the head. After I dismantled it, I noticed it had "3.0 GPM MAX" written down the side of it. So, I said, "What makes it only 3?" I quickly found that there was a rubber choke-ring in it, 20 minutes later, that shit is out and it's now probably a 5 or 6 GPM system minus all the lime. Sweet water pressure, baby.

Well, since I'm not that bothered about the environment, I would like to offer you my congratulations on your new found shower power.
