Dule, if you wanna gain weight the fast way: stop smoking and see the kgs pile up. If you're not a smoker, start and quit after 3,4 months. :D

i was 130 back then. i ate bran cereal for breakfast, beans for lunch, and brocoli for dinner. and i went to the gym and walked for 1.5 hours each day. it never felt better, could run, play soccer without my breath being taken away

Well yeah, but didn't your body react negatively to such a drastic loss of weight? You said "in the summer" so i'm guessing you're talking about 2-3 months. Losing 10kgs or more per month should weaken you a lot.
Or maybe not...that's only my assumption but i'm not an expert. :D
