So I went to this Outback Steakhouse, I had to go to the restroom. I went up to the front desk girl and asked where is the restroom. She pointed back to a corner and said it’s over there where that British looking flag is with the stars… I said “Australia”, she replied lol yeah.

lol like wtf I just continued on and walked away. It was a young ditzy girl.

For the first time, I had to take one of our cats to get put down after watching her suffer for a week. That was by far the most difficult and heart-wrenching thing I've ever done in my life.
How old was she?

It's very painful. I had a similar case with one of my chickens, was attacked by a stray dog and died due to severe injuries. stay strong bro.

Sorry to hear that.

Most of us are fortunate enough to be quite separated from death as a regular occurrence. It's weird, really, as when I was a kid growing up in Chicago I had classmates who would occasionally die of some childhood disease in a way that doesn't happen so much today. (Though there is measles and all...) And when more people were working in agriculture and farming, death was a normal part of life.

And with us having fewer and fewer intergenerational homes, we're not exposed as much to the decline and death of elderly either... often sending them away to a care home somewhere else.

Which is why things like the death of a Pope I think are more relevant than ever. A lot of people are disconnected from that experience. Ugly as it is. But it brings home how precious life is.

Recently, I have been busy with configuring Mikrotik devices, I remembered that you work in Australia. I wanted to know if Mikrotik equipment is used in Australia and if they have a reputation there.

OK, most online quizzes are basically honeytraps for your data. I'm less suspicious of this one...

I managed to score pretty well on WhichYear, but I got toasted by a 1930 photo.

WhichYear 4/25/25
4557 pts (top 13%)

So sorry. What breed was it?
They are like your baby. I was so against having a cat in the house, but now I'm a "cat dad" and love it.
I think a domestic shorthair? I honestly have no idea, probably a mix of things.

I was against it too, because I knew that of course one day it unfortunately comes to this. I love them as well though.
13, not even that old imo.
