I can't believe a company refused to pay me for 15 days work that I did for them. During the period I almost had a heart attack cause of the stressful job that I had, plus the extra hours. I was really hoping and expecting to get paid and just this morning I was left a text saying how I won't get any money. How stupid and disappointing, jesus....

Because this is a shithole where nothing surprises you. It was a probation work that I did for them and I worked under no contract. I was still told that I'd get paid. In the end I was offered a contract which I refused to sign, because they didn't tell me anything about the wage for the 15 days that I spent there. It was the most stressful job so far and I was shocked when I saw how little they wanted to pay me. The guy who owned the company wanted to give me the raise (of 20-30e!) in order for me to stay, but I refused that. So I left. I was waiting for a long time to get response about the money, so I got texted this morning, saying I won't be paid.

I will not get anything from it for three reasons:

1) I worked under no contract, so I can't even complain about it, let alone sue them IMO. Even if I can sue them, I can't for the two reasons below
2) I was recommended to work there, so my inner self has to stay calm cause I don't want to create a shitstorm towards the girl that recommended me
3) My brother is also working there and I know I'd probably have him fired if I say a word about it

And you know what... I feel like shit. It's not huge money by any means, but it would help me a big deal cause I'm not a big spender and at least I'd have for coffees and small stuff. It's really disgusting, especially because I was great at that job, did it very well. I even went out on the field to check the works, walked 20km literally, stayed extra hours, coordinating teams and almost had a heart attack. Jesus Christ. My mom felt bad so she said she'd pay me that lol. Of course I'm not gonna take it, it's not even the point, but it's such a huge let down, man, this country is totally fucking me up. I'll end up depressed because of some morons.

The last two are a problem. In most countries the first not so much. No one is going to assume that you agreed to work for no pay. Even if no written contract exists, a judge is very likely to rule that parties verbally agreed to some sort of contract under which they are obliged to pay you for your work.

But there's no way I could prove (or they) if I worked for 15 days or 15 months. It's just words.

Yet another party at work yesterday, yet another day filled with hangover. :sergio:

Surely there would be some things you could use to demonstrate that you worked there for a period of time? And you're claiming 15 days, which is a short period.
Really liking your signature. :D

I'd never do that.

I only watch anime on their PCs.

People who don't have to upload their billable hours on a software are really really lucky. I envy them.

I'm forced to upload at least 7 hours a day so I don't have much time for slacking off :p
Shut up. You are such an entitled spoilt little brat. Your annoying whining over the most insignificant things is pathetic and makes you look like an incredible ill-mannered manchild . Did your parents not give you enough attention and love, but instead passed that job to the maids? Man up and do your fuckin job, and stop craving attention for these fake "my life is tough"-situations.

If not go get some blue-collar experience, shit face.
