Seriously, the worst thing you can do is develop a professional relationship with a lector at the university. As soon as they start assuming that you have a handle on things they stop giving a shit. I had a doctorate student as promotor, and he was so horrible i've grown quite the hatred for autistic socially impared PHD's.
Not that i was alone. All 5 master graduates (including me) added the other phd guy as a connection on linkedin and underscribed his skills, while avoiding that guy like the plague.
