Dr. Marotta

Yes, person with a diagnosis - please alleviate my urge to diagnose myself based on reading a wiki entry.

Which is why a working week should be no more than 30h of highly taxed work :agree:
There's a difference between what I would selfishly like, and what is the best model. Of course I'd like to work for 30hrs a week, but thats a pipe dream, because most probably productivity would go down.

Gotta feed the slaves, dude.
You would know about that, white Belgian man in Congo, I wonder what you used to do there.

it is up to you.

if you dont need iphones and all the fancy shit,
you can quit and live of the land.
something i already consider.

...my granddad for example has pretty much all he needs in his garden...
tons of vegetables, fire wood...solar cells...
i would add a €400 job (working 3 days a week) and it’ll be fine.

it all depends on what you want.

Productivity would decrease because of shorter hours?

Honestly, how much does your productivity drop after lunch?

Lesser hours, less stress leave from work and sickness could actually end up boosting productivity, no?

Add to that, it would create an actual increase in need for workforce.

I get your points and I wish something like that could be true but I doubt it's gonna happen.

I think all that's going to happen is our imaginations will rot together with our souls while working 8 hrs a day, and sometimes even on weekends. It drains your enthusiasm.

Despite the fact it may not seem that way I think people are working less and less. Sure, you have the finance nutjobs who are now able to work 24/7, but overall we work less today than we did in the 19th century for example.

Yeah we're a bunch of spoiled fucks who want to work easy non labor jobs for 30hrs a week. And I'm not kidding.

It was looking boring at the start though. Then tevez left then we announced that we were done. Then Vidal left and we appear to be shitting the bed in the aftermath.

Yes Beppe, YES!
Dude, with that right there you could have saved the Tuz about 600 pages of posts this summer.

Perhaps we've been indoctrinated by society into wanting to be able to buy things, i just don't think I'd be able to do what your grandad did.

Locals here who work in the public sector have 6 hour workdays, they're probably the leaast productive people in the world.
I've been working for 5 years now, you're making me sound younger than i really am lol.
