Liking your job is a very rare and precious thing. You made the right choice here.

Yes, I've worked at some big companies, among them EY.

Happiness comes first, my man. If this job makes you happier, you made the right choice.

Plus, you could always go back to a bigger firm in the future if you have a change of heart.
You're absolutely right. And it's not like I'm gonna earn less here because even though it's a small firm with few lawyers, the cases we handle are very interesting economically. We just won an 8 million dollar case for instance so it's not like I'm gonna starve to death.

I disagree. To be quite honest I don't really see the point in working at a small firm. Liking your job is just not going to help you retire at 30. And if it doesn't, then what's the point? Quit your pointless job and work towards the early retirement plan.

Actually lots of people do. But you don't get there the conventional way, that much is true.
Really? You know anyone who has?

I certainly don't. People who have successful businesses, who theoritically would be the people who could retire early, are often too driven for more success. I honestly have never known anyone who retired at 30.

That's not really what Völler meant though. It's about the possibility to retire.

1.- Read the post above yours.

2.- Small firms grow and actually give you a better chance of becoming a partner.

I know a few people who have.

My sister's friend and her husband retired some months ago and they're in their early 30's. They're indeed frugal and live off their investments (they had average salaries btw).

Mario Balotelli is only 24 and he's effectively retired. :shifty:

How the heck do you blow someone up with an anti-aircraft gun?
At first I thought an airplane would somehow be involved, but no.

So seriously... why an anti-aircraft gun and not, like, a mortar or tank treads or flame-thrower or something more "practical" like that?

At least he had his uncle eaten by rabid dogs, which makes some sense.

South Korea could easily have made that up to make the North seem even crazier. None of us know what actually happens in North Korea. Everything we hear is propaganda.
Well, not everything.

But this story kinda made me question it's credibility as well, particulalry considering they're very discreet about their source, "some NK MP told South-Korean reporters". Now obviously I understand not making the informant's name public in such a situation, but it's very wasy to abuse such a system as well.

Frankly I think girls are easy to read. You ask them if they want to hang out. If they don't or come up with some sort of excuse, you leave them be. No matter what, if she doesn't want to hang out immediately, it will never happen. I know we always try ways around it, but that's just how it is.

Its like being shot with a giant ass shot gun. You would basically be ripped apart by the flak.

Girl says she had a crush on me way back ( I knew this )
I message her for a bit, she strangely doesnt reply for ages sometimes but likes my photos in between. Im like whatever. Talks about her ex a bit im like meh, give her the usual bullshit advice. Dont wanna get into that sort of situation. Make her laugh and stuff.
On mothers day I get a message, reply, say something like we should catch up, she says you should be with fam on mothers day not in my bed
I say yo movie on wednesday night? She says i might be going out for coffee with friends but she'll let me know. I say lemme know or whenever you are free
Wednesday comes along, doesn't let me know.
Not going to message her. CBF. Bitches mang. Tease. I wonder if she is trying to get revenge on me because I had to shut her down way back because i was seeing someone.

Question of the day: Would you hit on a girl that's in a relationship?
