San Francisco is just fine.
Yeah, we got gays. But so does everywhere else. The difference is that they're out in the open -- unlike other places, say, where you only find out after they bent you over a log and told you to squeal like a pig.
And nobody in town opens their mouth about it to admit what just happened. ("You sure got a pretty mouth!")
Personally, I'll take San Francisco's approach over the closet gays in other towns around the world any day.
