Ugh. So many reasons he shouldn't have gone there... Makes me sick.
Where else, the US or Japan?

Looking how he moved to Australia it just seems he wants to promote football in lesser countries. :boh:

But it's pretty sad how it ended. I mean it didn't end yet but like it did.

Imagine if calciopoli never happened and he left in 2006? :scared:

Most of the reasons are not even football related.

The move to Australia made sense. The move to India made him look like a mercenary. Especially given India's (well deserved) reputation at the moment.

And it ended in 2012 anyway.

I don't think him playing in Australia and India had anything at all to do with football. He just wanted to experienced different cultures and places. The India move did make me quite uncomfortable though.

I check in on the forum fairly regularly but the football sections are just so completely pointless these days it makes it difficult.

Dude is getting up there. I don't think it honestly matters at this point as much as he gets to play global living ambassador to the sport.

Even David Beckham played for AC Milan for a while :seven:

Am I missing something? Whats ok about the India move as opposed to the Australia one?
You meant vice versa I suppose. When Ale went to Australia he did not go to a country where human rights are violated on a massive scale. And I'm sure you're going to come up with some sort of statement as to why they are violated in Europe and the US as well. And that's true. But it's not the same in India. Nowhere near. You know that. I know that. If you're a public figure like Ale, you have a moral obligation to snub these countries.
