It's not like that have any great international standing to lose after their last default.

Nah, nothing major should happen (internationally) but I assume they will tighten the belt under the guidance of IMF which is pretty much a self-destruct button. In other words, I don't think their economy and living standard will be any good for a long, long time.

Yeah, accumulating debt and moving it ahead is a good way to go

@Kate I finally got around to watching Persuasion and I really wanted to enjoy it, but the actors were so bland and flat that I felt zero chemistry from them and between them. It's not a bad story but someone should do a remake.

The film adaptations aren't very good, I don't think Which one did you watch? Of the two I've seen, I prefer the Ciaran Hinds one, but neither is as great as other adaptations.

Yep, that is the one that I saw. I can't believe no one has tried to do a remake given that the movies were so crappy and that Austen has such a large fanbase.
