A word of advice from a coffee dork...
Colombian coffee is often good, but often not so good in an espresso machine. Espresso is a whole different beverage, and not all coffees/blends that are good for the machine are good for the French press or filter drip.
Avoiding the espresso angle can save you a bit of money and headaches. But hey, who am I to talk?

OK, the home espresso porn is coming out...
Here's my home setup. Brewed some Barefoot Coffee Roasters beans this morning. Tomorrow I'm moving on to some of the beans I roasted a couple days ago, which have finally gassed out enough CO2 by now (kind of like myself, really).
