Have you thought this through, why is Burke a mod?

It was a joke when he was made one years ago, and never even a serious thing, so why is it only taken as a serious thing when it's used to get him out of trouble?
I never voted for Burke as a mod in the first place. So stick that in your shorts and shake it.

That's no sucking bro, bitch bit off the goat's testicles!!
ffs is that what happened? Glad i didnt look closely then lol
Wait... weren't people just saying how spoilers were inadequate in the other thread? :confused2
i never complained about what burke posted in the spoiler because, knowing burke, i would NEVER have clicked on that in a GOT thread. No, i showed up late to read the spoilers he posted without being tagged and to your bs excuse about "not feeding the troll" which is funny becaue by saying that you admit he's trolling which is against the forum rules which you were claiming he had not violated

Because just what I think isn't the law of the land. Is it that hard to figure out?

This is Marty's site if you all can remember.
Weird, you been gunho about defending his BS tonight (in very laughable ways may I add) , but you have no say in basically the worst possible candidate for mod still being a mod after all these years. Gotcha, bit weird, but Gotcha. I guess Marty really likes the Burkmeister.

As I already said, Burkes behaviour is hardly anything, I didn't even click the spoiler tag, A) Because it's Burke and B) I don't do spoiler tags after ALCs counter measuring practice ;)

But all of this could have been quickly solved with basic moderating, but you refused to, instead made matters worse. So in that I'm surprised. And gotta give Asif his props for stepping in.

So say I give Burke an infraction for trolling. Mods could do that all day long. But it doesn't have the same effect on a non-mod user.

You see, it is not the same at all. There is, so to speak, "a double standard" -- built right into the system. It's the same double standard that allows me to put a spoiler on ALCs photo but you can't.

Seriously ... nobody has thought this through yet?

Well, part is clearly my fault because I found the trolling entertaining enough to allow for a while.

But this is the tricky thing about being a mod that nobody really talks about: it works because the mods have to work personally together as a team. If that breaks down, this place can get way, way worse.

For example, the only way that Asif is able to clean up the GoT thread is, in part, because Burke allows it and chooses not to be an extra deck about it and challenge/undo his cleanup.

I'm with you on this my distant lithuanian cousin. I learned to live with double standards here long time ago :D
Guilty as charged. Sometimes you just wanna be a šiknarankis.
