goldschlager?

anyways, i have to say, a gourmet burger is so much better than a regular one. better buns, better meat, better ingredients.
Dunno the name.

One of the best burgers I had was from a late night donair shop. It was donair(gyro) meat, burger, chicken burger, mushroom sauce, a fuck ton of cheese, no veggies for me cause veggies are for cows. Shit was nice and greasy as fuck, if the burger doesn't dirty you then it's not a good burger imo.

That'll be it. Smirnoff also have their own version.

If you don't like cinnamon then I'd imagine it's pretty disgusting.
There's this drink that's pretty big here now called Fireball. It's cinnamon whiskey. People love it. Tastes exactly like that gum Big Red.

Never had cheesesteak before, gonna note that down.

Fireball is nasty too! I stick to my good ol' gin and tonic, I can hold gin sooooooo much better than any other liquor and I like the taste too.

Yeah I've had a few of those, they were on a promotion some time back. Don't think I've seen them around for a while though.

My brother thought that until he drank a bottle of Bombay Sapphire and threw up all over his laptop, now he can't touch the stuff :D

I'm a bit like that with strong cider :(

I used to enjoy drinking whiskey but it sort of passed. Generally I've cut out drinking except when I go out, and when I go out it's usually all about the tequilla.

First thing I did was binge on nuts. :D
I'm pretty sure the first thing I had was popcorn. :D

Here too, really. Chefs realized that when financial times were fradulently leaner since 2008, they couldn't get you into their white tablecloth restaurants anymore. So they tried to go upscale-downscale. So take a $3 burger, add fancy names to the ingredients, and charge $13 for it.

Or worse, get one of these guys to add foie gras and gold leaf and charge you $100 for a burger.

No matter how you dress it up, it is still a basic sandwich with heated up ground beef.
There's a pizza place like that in my town that prides itself on bizarre toppings/combinations. Pizza might be good, and cheeseburgers might be good, but a cheeseburger pizza (with ketchup & mustard instead of tomato sauce) is a fucking no go.

While on the subject of burgers though, this is the only fancy burger joint I've been to that I actually think lives up to the hype. They're also the only place I've found in the US that can make poutine pretty much correctly. Too bad I hate going to SoCal... though it's probably a good thing that I don't have the option of eating there all the time.

That happened to me with Jack, can't drink that anymore either.

Oh man, back in Ottawa, my neighbourhood had a fuck ton of Somalis. And one of the many nicknames I had was gacaan gaab, cause my right arm was fucked at birth.

You Somali too @Ali?
@Fr3sh Yeah bro but from Kenya. Gacaan gaab as brutal as they come.

Reminds me when I was briefly in North Carolina and they had this all-you-can-eat pizza joint there that routinely featured pizzas like the "peanut butter & jelly pizza", etc. Any Neapolitan would have self-immolated over that place, and with good reason. (I think it was a CiCi's.)

Man's atrocities committed against pizza are far too numerous to list.

That place looks awesome! :D

And on the ridiculous burger note:

When it comes to pizza, a few years back I decided that my general rule of thumb would be if my Italian friends would make fun of me for eating it, it's not for me. :D Something I definitely have to do before I move - one last trip to Tony's in North Beach. Still probably the best pizza I've had in the US, too bad the wait time's usually a bitch because of all the tourists. But if the owner was the first non-Neapolitan to win the world pizza championships, he must be doing something right.

About that burger place, I actually haven't been there since they turned it into a restaurant - it used to be a food truck until they made enough money from it to actually open up a permanent space.
