This country handles mental illness very poorly, and in the end people are roaming the streets when they shouldn't be.
True dat. Our social policy towards mental health seems to be letting dem crazy mofos arm up and let the system take care of 'em from there.

Suicide by police action. Problem solved.

Well, sorta... :shifty:

Why is homeless in quotes? Was he allegedly homeless?
He was in dirty clothes asking for change, but he had blue highlights in his hair, Jordans, and skullcandy headphones. He was on one of those electric scooters too, not sure if he needed it. So he was playing at the disabled side of it too. Then he gets to the end of the train by me and my friends, puts a sheet over his body from his neck down, and starts zoning out while staring at my friend's feet. Open-mouthed and tongue hanging out and everything. I think this tops the time I saw a drunk and unstable homeless man shit himself on the Q train.

People will go immediately and only for gun control though, when the base of the issue goes unresolved.

I agree. Plus you have the gun rights weirdos who come out with stuff like "if there were more guns on the streets, those people would have been able to protect themselves better". I remember after the Sandy Hook shootings, the NRA's suggestion was that teachers should all be armed to prevent stuff like that from happening again. I'm sorry but that is not the solution.

The extremes of both ends are ridiculous, no doubt.
