I know a co-worker who sent a broadcast mail to his team where he shared a joke about Punjabi's. The idiot didn't realize that the 1 Punjabi in our team would take offence at that. He ended up being let go by the company. They showed him some mercy and asked him to resign rather than being fired.
Damn straight, we don't fuck around. :D

That was the thing - it was anti-Muslim and anti-Jewish (of which there are several on the team), but I think the real reason they were let go was that some of the recipients were outside of the company and they sent it on a company email address. Also, it wasn't even a funny joke.

Now you have to tell it to us.
I don't even remember.

It was something like some little girl goes into town to do some Christmas shopping and afterwards talks about how quiet it was, and then the granddad says "was it?" and she says "Yes! I didn't see a single camel-humper, faggot, dyke, queer, kike the whole day!" or something like that.

If you're going to be offensive, be funny.
