Sexism? Why can't something appeal more to a certain sex without it being sexist? Pulp Fiction is about as appealing to females as a fleshlight.
I was joking, but if one were to insinuate "you probably won't like this as it's a men's film" is sexist. To me.

I didn't. For it to be sexism, it has to entail that one sex is superior than the other. All I'm saying is that it's a very macho movie, and I'm 99.9 % sure that guys are more into those kind of movies than females are, just as it's the other way around when it comes to love dramas, Jane Austen movies and stuff like that. There are exceptions of course but... Anyway, I didn't mean to be sexist. I can't see how preferential differences between genders should be considered as such.
Gender stereotyping that way can be sexist. "This is a wonderful film, but it's for men, so that is probably why you don't like it" (in base terms, not what you said, but I am taking the more extreme situation) is a bit sexist to me.

But I was just joking, because it's the thing I always get up in arms about on the forum, so I was just mocking myself as it's such a small thing :D

Closure's always good.
I agree, but not when there is a chance to get so severly beat up that you actually die and get thrown in some ditch in Nepal.

He is there for 5 days, until Sunday. Won a free trip with all expenses paid in a Star Craft contest, some big convention for it there. He is currently in an area called Pudong, Google easily found tons of restuarant selections in vast areas of the city, but his experience has mainly been that part of the city, Pudong (near some Mercedez Benz stadio?).

Funnily enough exactly what me and 3 others have told him seperately :D But wanted to know the ingredients of what he was ordering etc, not likely.
Yeah, so he's just hanging around the airport :D Tell him to suck it up and eat everything that comes his way. Why go all the way to china if he wants to speak english and eat burgers?

Are you cheating your husband?
I allow it coz i like it.

That's a super strange coincidence
Yeah, super strange and not at all weird.

Anyway, yeah, it can be sexist I guess, depending on how one says it and the reasons behind it. But yeah, I didn't mean to be on this occasion :)

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm late for a wife-beating :boxing:

It was his first night, went for the neighbouring area for restuarants, is crazy about chinese food, just difficult part in encountering scenarios where there was zero possibility for communication :D I'm sure the hosts of this event will tell him more linguistically accomodating restuarants the more he explores ze gigantic city.

P.S Didnt wanna eat anything that came his way in case it was pork, but somethings are easy to notice hehe, and tried lots of seafood today.

I love that film, and I think I know close to 90 % of the lines by heart.

However, it's a very macho film and your typical guy-flick. I've watched it with some girls over the years, and none of them liked it very much.
My sisters and all my cousins (also girls) love that movie. Sometimes at family gatherings there will up to 5 girls quoting Jules Winfield and Vincent Vega.

Ah aite, he just needs a few words, write it on a paper and carry it around.

Qingzhen Shipin - phonetically SHINJEN SHIPIEN(AN) which means Halal food or Muslim food :D In Shanghai almost anything packed and non-veg will have a printed stamp in arabic that reads "halal".

Tell him to take a bus to the railway station, the area surrounding it is filled with convicts from Urumqi roasting meat on the pavements and have restaurants around, their food is halal and safe and you might get some free weed as well :D

@Kate

I know you're into the early Genesis stuff, so I just thought I'd tip you off to these fantastic brand new remakes by Steve Hackett and various musicians:

A lot of these remakes are wonderful, and it's so nice to listen to these old gems produced and mixed on modern equipment.

The entire album (2 CDs) is on Spotify in great quality!

The remakes of Dancing with the moonlit knight and Supper's Ready are absolutely amazing.

Lovely! We don't get Spotify here, but I'll have a look around elsewhere for it, thank you!

Np :)

I was completely blown away by it. However, I have to question Hackett's decision of using Nik Kershaw on The Lamia :D That track is rescued by the guitar performances, though. The rest of this double album is an absolute joy.
