Bar my fascination with Cher and Michael Bolton, I think I have quite refined taste. Not as refined nor defined as badmotorfinger - but we can't all be the real deal.

Ever since I watched Open Office I can't stop listening to:
I don't know when Fred became such an accomplished troll, when I started lurking the forum he was quite the serious poster. We haven't even had our anti-west rant for a couple of months
Finding someone or something funny is subjective and a matter of perspective. Saying "I don't find Ricky Gervais funny" would be a proper statement. Starting Gervais isn't funny, as if it's a fact, is quite stupid.
Also, I find Louis CK cringeworthy. But you don't see me saying "Louis is cringeworthy". Personal opinions about subjective topics cannot be considered as facts.
Ps: @Kate: I saw Stephan Merchant's stand up. That shit was boring!
I found Stephen's stuff to be really good, but I also found it very niche. Like, people like me would find it funny, but it might alienate others. I can see how you might find it boring if you can't identify with it.
imo it's ironic that everyone has it in for music that becomes commercial and clearly not about the art anymore and just about selling as many copies as possible (same for Hollywood). But when comedians use no other metric than their popularity to decide what material they will perform noone seems to notice that it's the same thing happening there.
Curiously enough, one of the better moments of the previous season of Louie was when the comedian Dane Cook featured in an episode and they confronted each other about Louie CK being the "comedian's comedian" and Dane Cook being the sell-out mega-success comedian.
That's one of the reasons I've enjoyed Louie so much: that kind of uncomfortable isn't about being an annoying person as much as it is about being confronted with an awkward situation. And one that so closely reflected real life you weren't sure if it was written or real.

It's not about his content, but about his style of comedy. The way he delivers his jokes is not something I've seen in British comedy before, and it's not something that makes me laugh as much.
plus, only an elitist asshole wouldn't like certain music because everyone listens to it. A lot of those people also claim to like older music which back then was the same exact music they're complaining about today. hearing it too much is a different thing tho, I personally can't stand gotye's somebody i used to know anymore even though i really liked it at first.

I've not seen Tommy Tiernan, but I find Jimmy Carr really contrived and dependent on "Oh, jeez, aren't women stupid?" or off-colour jokes which are actually just offensive and not funny. Every time he speaks on QI it just makes me cringe, as if he should leave it to the professionals and go home.

i take that as him calling everyone stupid tho. the arrogance is what sells it for me. i can see it being offensive but that's almost what all comedians do.

I just don't feel it with him. With others I find it intelligent, and funny, but with him I find it trying too hard and actually offensive. Like...there's something in the way he tells it that you can tell he's actually just a twat. But that's my own opinion.
Still funnier than Ricky Gervais and Seinfeld (>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>) x1000 - The Office
