Yeah but theres very little and media research tends to come down to what the funding body wants researched and not so much what you want to research. If I see an interesting opportunity then i'll apply for it, but at the moment its mainly focused on chinese media and children in the media. My friend who studied for his MA in Bergen (completing his thesis now) has been accepted onto a PhD there and he gets paid £29 000 a year by his uni to do it .
