As idiotic as that is, I still wonder why I see people four and five years younger than me struggling with their finances and proudly prancing around their child they had around age 18. Are these people fucking morons or what? I couldn't imagine myself having to deal with a child at my age at this point; I don't have the maturity or the willingness to deal with it. But I guarantee that I'm more mature than some of these clowns whose children have a better relationship with babysitters instead of their single moms.

Yes. You see the logic of the movie Idiocracy and the complete folly of its execution for such a great concept.

Chalk up another point for the conventional wisdom of "Don't shit in your kitchen, and don't FB friend your coworkers."
:agree:
You always need to watch out what do you say. A professor taught me in 3rd year undergrad added me on facebook eventhough he is on my committee for graduate studies. I couldn't decline the friend offer, it was weird though

So, Burke and I are going to be working for the same company with desks almost literally next to each other. For some reason the secretary girl thought I was starting today, but Burke corrected her by saying no, he doesn't start for another two weeks. Of course, she asked how he knew that, and he said, "he's my best friend."

This is going to be interesting. I wonder if I got the job because I'm friends with Mr. Burke. Apparently everyone knows everybody there, so it should be a cool place to work.
What kind of job?
