Man, Audacity is amazing.
I was looking if I could find a bootleg recording of a concert I was at in Chicago in the 1980s. Sure enough, someone uploaded the audio to YouTube. And it was crap. The waveform was puny and the sound was all washed out.
All it took was the Amplify filter (https://forum.audacityteam.org/t/very-small-waveform/48729). Normally I'd expect all sorts of distortion to digitally "stretch" out the audio like that. But no way... it sounded clear and 10x better. Wholly salvageable.

I tried to write an article that was on par with reputable journals and made some progress, but in the end I put it aside. I fed up with it and my job got me bussy.
It took me a while to write it, writing the introduction, the abstract, working with software to extract descriptive and inferential statistics.
I have noticed that with the advent of AI tools, many people publish articles with its assist, but I really would like to do a real research, which unfortunately I don't feel like doing right now.
