Wale and especially B.o.B are nowhere close to J.Cole Darman (especially B.o.B, Wale is talented but someone who doesnt know what he wants to be, chose full on mainstream approach compared to doing his own artistic thing ala Cole), but yeah Lupe is a good shout.

Damn he went in

They got put in years of solitary for this tho (cell phone contraband, but years of solitary sounds crazy...).

@Osman, what you think of Jadakiss' new album?
Cool avatar

I like most part of it, Fairly tough album, other parts not so much (tries too much diff type of sounds that aint him, some trap tracks, dont like song with future who ruined chorus, and few others) . Y.O. with akon is classic Jada, as is aint nothing new, both my fav in it (but need to give album few more listens):

One with diddy is hard as fvck:

Jason feels like a raw banging anthem except for Swizz chorus lol, who makes killer beats still tho, this with Y.O should be mainstream hits:

Mostly he is sounding motivated and hungry again (instead of being ok with disssapearing in underground or doing some features with trap rappers, aint his thing), which is dope for Hiphop heads, we need the raw Ryff Ryders and LOX back to add some genuine sound to the NY scene again. Which reminds me, its very dissapointing he only has one song with his other half Styles P in it, called synergy.

I just discovered him, very nice dude. Out of the continental hiphop scene, its harder to get into german hiphop tho (French, UK, little italian&spanish even some balkan) , hard to take the lingo seriously :D But you guys are awesome at reggae so you make up for it by huge strides.

OMG the kurdish badass reminds a little of Freddy Foxx aka Bumpy Knuckles :D

A german born friend trying to make me get into its scene a bit, but its a tough going so far ;)

I've listened to it once and didn't really like it a lot right away, except for the song with Diddy. But I'll give it a go again soon.

Ok this is flatout amazing, you should post it in the election thread. And not in the least suprising, Killer Mike has allways been very outspoken and as real as it gets. Was one of the voices of wisdom and reason over the Ferguson debacle.

More powerful when you see the contrast of Hillary Clinton and her laughably being endorsed by egomaniacal and high off his head Kanye "Im tha God" West...

Haha yeah those guys, ALL little brothers of Crooked I, only reason I know them initially. They ait, battle rappers, hard to take em seriously hehe. They recently beefed with Funk volume, Hopsin/dizzy wright /Jay Benton etc. Whoever won the beef would get 500k dollars :D Hard to decide who won :p

Honestly, German rap isn't all that great mostly. French is much better, UK I don't know enough, especially not enough pure rap, most of the ones I do are more Grime/Indie-rap whatever stuff :D

Thing with J.Cole is that, I really do rate him, but it's just that he's never impressed me the same way Wale or Lupe (bar set waaay to high here) or even B.O.B aka Bobby Ray. You might giggle at B.o.B but man is impressive when he really lays it down

Sure he gets outdone by Lupe but who doesn't

I absolutely LOVED j.Cole's 3 first mixtape! LOVED! LOVED! LOVED THEM! Huge fan of 'em! But after that he's just been meh imo. He's no crazy lyricist doesn't have any unique melody's/beat/style, he's basically the marchisio of rapper's imo. He's solid, but he's doesn't have much that he can call his own. J.Cole's very comparable to Wale imo, and Wale even though hasn't tasted the same amount of success as J, he's got a style of his own, he's got something that is really his and makes him stand out from the rest of the rappers. He's lyrically wittier and sharper than J.Cole.
J Cole isn't as lyrically complex or anything, he keeps his verses & storytelling very simple, but he does it very, very well imo. Plus I love his instrumentals (most of 'em), they fit the track so incredibly well. I can't really find a better term to call his tracks than well-rounded, they're not particularly fancy, but effective & authentic.

He reminds me of a Rick Ross that is legit with hardboiled aggressive style, The sickness that is Xatarism is spreading :D

Speaking of Rozay, he is consistently quality nowadays, doesnt release a single weak track in long time now, and allways pretty dope soulful beats:

I mean I guess there are quite a lot of good ones if you dig a bit deeper, but mainstream rap sucks compared to its American & French counterparts.

Btw got a few recommandations for me?

And don't hate on the babo dude.
