Young Jesus is his best work yet and Fade away amongst his better songs. But damn the greatest has a siiiiiick vintage Hiphop beat, what a production.
But the new logic album has like 5 good songs (mentioned most already), while @Ocelot and @HAZEM, Freddie Gibbs SOD album has like 17 songs, and I would say only 2 aren't good, rest are in various degrees of raw and hard as fvck trap season shit. A truly legit gangster album. Dude is really versatile and can ride anything. Nothing like pinata.

Thing with J.Cole is that, I really do rate him, but it's just that he's never impressed me the same way Wale or Lupe (bar set waaay to high here) or even B.O.B aka Bobby Ray. You might giggle at B.o.B but man is impressive when he really lays it down

I absolutely LOVED j.Cole's 3 first mixtape! LOVED! LOVED! LOVED THEM! Huge fan of 'em! But after that he's just been meh imo. He's no crazy lyricist doesn't have any unique melody's/beat/style, he's basically the marchisio of rapper's imo. He's solid, but he's doesn't have much that he can call his own. J.Cole's very comparable to Wale imo, and Wale even though hasn't tasted the same amount of success as J, he's got a style of his own, he's got something that is really his and makes him stand out from the rest of the rappers. He's lyrically wittier and sharper than J.Cole.
Listening to the that knock on wood freestyle, he's recycling Common's flow, actually he;'s doing pretty solid. Still though.

There's more than levels of difference between the two. The sharpness in his lyrics, the flow, the wit, delivery, everything! Shit's a classic for a reason! Cole better be careful when spitting on these tracks like "Get by" from Kweli or this one.
