Mi scusi . Perhaps Im the wrong guy to ask about modern metal, after looking through the albums I have, thr bulk of it is pre 2005.

No problem, I appreciate the input. It's just that a lot of the new metal I hear is so incomprehensible that I can't listen to it. And then I saw that documentary, and I hear about these power and symphonic metal bands such as Hammerfall and Nightwish that I was just blown away.

OF course the fact that I'm a huge fan of The Dillinger Escape Plan is totally contradictory to what I had just typed, but oh well.

Have you listened to Slaughter at the gates, children of bodom, in flames? All slightly older, but if you dig the melodies these are the best imo.
