Wow, so does every metal band in existence.

Thrash is lame? really? If thrash is lame then what is post hardcore and all that emo bullshit?

There are quite a few types of thrash, normal thrash, progressive, crossover etc. What you said was so stupid. If Mastodon is so good at what they do, I guess it just makes the rest of similar metal bands obsolete right? Say, if a new band took a similar concept to Mastodon and similar-ish music and were better I'm guessing that would mean there would be absolutely no reason to listen to Mastodon? I am 100% right going by your logic.

Thrash is thrash, that's why Evile and the other thrash bands today sound 100% like the 80's thrash bands. It's a static and confined genre, which is why I find it boring. Progressive Metal is a much broader genre and therefore you have room for more bands, exploring different sounds and compositions. There's nothing wrong with liking thrash, you can like it all you want and it's you preference, just like I have the right to absolutely adore Backstreet Boys - but just do go around saying that it's a dynamic genre where you can find something new every day, it's not. Why can't you just accept that? I never critisized your liking thrash, I just explained why I don't like it, I outgrew it a few years ago and it just doesn't do it for me anymore.

You know what? Based on Nzoric's logic, it's stupid for me to even be listening to anything from Ride The Lightning.
No, it would be stupid for me to listen to other Thrash albums than RTL & MOP because I don't see any real progression, all I see is the same shit being repeated over and over again. Which is why the new testament album is good, it does everything right - it's just the same stuff I've heard over and over and over again.

I didn't say that, but what you said was stupid. You said thrash is boring, 99% the same and it's not worth listening to. Obviously thrash has common elements through most bands but to say that it's not worth listening to is fucking ridiculous. You said that objectively too. Don't talk like I'm the only one criticizing subjective things objectively.

We're speaking objectively. How the fuck could I tell you what you like and what you don't like? You started it all by objectively stating that Mastodon are overrated, which they're not - they're pioneers - you might not like them, but they are.

One of the few very good songs from those albums :agree:
Load is pretty good imo and ReLoad is good but not as good as Load. But imo, 'musically' The Outlaw Torn is one of the top few songs they've written. If you put it in the context of 80s Metallica then it's not the same thing but with the progression of Metallica it's an amazing song, almost going into epic 70s shit. Bleeding Me is really something too.
