Trivium is a shithouse band and the vocals are probably the worst out of any popular metal band. Plus, they are classified as 'metalcore' and any band associated with 'core' is automatically shit.
Evile and Warbringer are proper thrash bands and destroy any 'core' bands. Overkill and Exodus are good too.

Evile and Warbringer are generic bands, rehashing a sound and style that was perfected and subsequently put to death in the late 80's early 90's. They are without any musical significance since they confine them selves to one genre, a genre as limited as thrash metal.
Now, I didn't say that Trivium is a good band all around - Shogun is a terrific album. Lyrically, vocally, musically - everything.
Oh and not everything associated with core is automatically shit, you fuckin' poser.

Thrash revival 
It's dead, and has been for a long time. No use in reviving it, since it's such a confined genre that you can't really do anything in it without making it a hybrid.
This is a class song, nice lyrics to go with the theme of the album. It's better than anything Metallica has done since the start 90's.

Trivium is poo. Load is an amazing album. The Outlaw Torn and Bleeding Me are 2 of Metallica's best non-fast thrash songs. In the same category as Fade to Black and Turn the Page.

So we agree that thrash is dead? Good.
Outlaw Torn and Bleeding Me are good, but the albums in general do not uphold the same level of quality as Shogun does.
^ All the big 4 (and testament) would be proud to have that song as one of their own. It's that good. And the soloing is just mind blowing, it's Skolnick-esque.
