What song? On iPhone

A few months pfff, I've been playing for four and a half years :D. I'm now just managing to master solos like the one in Symphony of Destruction :p

Ahhh  Just practise a lot and you'll get there. I'd say I play about an hour a day on average. Some days way more and some days I don't play at all.

And I managed to master the whole of Hot for Teacher a few days ago (including the solo). I was pretty happy :p

oh I've played for almost three years. Lately I've completely stopped learning new songs, just fuck around on the acoustic playing the e-minor and looking thoughtful.

But they work, it's a good riff. They don't have to be complicated, see Enter Sandman, Smoke on the Water etc. (majority of Rolling Stones songs :D )
Oh I agree, I just found your comment funny. I know exactly what you mean :D

In the first year or so of playing guitar you realise how many famous riffs are actually quite simple and easy to play.

What surprised me the most was after 8 months when I sat down to learn some Rage Against The Machine. Usually slightly harder than the ones we're talking about, but far from what they sound like.
