Ok. I downloaded Nas' new album and burned it to a cd so that I could listen to it on the way to work. I am now sitting at a gas station so that I can take this all in.

This album is simply incredible. Just amazing. Easily his best since Stillmatic and dare I say the greatest album he has put out sine Illmatic

It's pretty fantastic. He gets very personal in the last couple of tracks, speaking about his marriage and divorce. My favorite part of the album are the last 2 minutes of the 7th track "World's an Addiction".

The lyrics and flow on that are spine tingling, when he is talking about the emergency room and the doctor

5 tracks in. I got one beef with this album, like I've got with almost all of his work. Nas has a triffic way with lyrics, no two ways about it - he just has terrible selection of beats. It's better here than it usually is though, Reach Out is pretty rad all around.

I actually do like the beats a lot more this time around. Tinges of Gospel, Orchestral arrangements, and on tracks like "Stay", just straight up Jazz.

Of course, there are old school bangers like "The Don" and "Nasty"

I came into this thread looking for you. :lol2:

I'm on track three, really great so far. Beat selection.

And yeah, Frank Ocean's album is all I've been listening to since it dropped.
