Yes I agree start with Black Album. Then Master of Puppets and Ride The Lighting. Then ...And Justice For All (My favourite) haha I just noticed Nzoric said the same thing about AJFA. The rest you will discover yourself And don't forget to listen to the whole of Garage, Inc.! (covers album) Some of their best stuff they've recorded on there.

and yeah don't go for shitty 128kbps or 256kbps. You're only fucking yourself. Get at least 320kbps MP3 or even better FLAC or WAV. Vinyl has the best sound quality by far though.

SIKE!! Nah, it was awesome. The production is crazy. So many great songs too, The Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters are beautiful. Wherever I May Roam is a banger. Only on first listen though, will re-listen a couple of times later.
