I don't find FF bland at all, it's just Grohl's song writing style. He's an amazing song writer. And The Colour & The Shape is one of my favourite albums from the 90s, every song is super amazing. Everlong

I don't really TCV to be honest, don't find them that interesting. Would have been better if Grohl song. Though Grohl and Homme are pretty good on Queens of The Stone 'Songs For The Deaf'. Grohl is such a fucking amazing drummer too. And to think he learnt to play drums on pillows...coolest guy ever.

Well, there is no denying that he has excellent song writing skills. It's just that he perhaps gets too much space in FF, the song's don't really peak for me. It's all "good", but nothing really stands out, the songs aren't alive as they are on his other projects where he is enjoying the company of several skilled songwriters.

Yeah and I understand that. For me Mastodon is the biggest thing in music since Led Zeppelin - but people usually do not agree. If I find a girl who agrees I'm putting a ring on it.

None of the girls I know are into good music. So many are into shitty music, though I did meet this banging chick in Italy that likes Oasis and Coldplay among other (always posting on Facebook about them). Actually, come to think of it, many girls I met in Italy post good music on Facebook like Floyd.

The best band for me since Zeppelin is Tool. Best band of the 90s imo.
