The Drive-By Truckers - The Big To-Do
This album just came out, and it's pretty solid. An improvement over their last Brighter Than Creation's Dark, which I thought was a bit lackluster.
You gotta like braniac songwriters playing the range from country to hard rock, singing about the Wal-Mart set. But this album is consistent with why all their other albums have consistently ranked in critic's annual albums-of-the-year lists. (Though to some music critics, it's as if these guys can do no wrong.)
