Ever since the turn of the century we have been continuously pulling the bag over our heads on the hip hop front, claiming degenerate dunderheads like Lil Wayne are actually making what is known as "good music" or, more frighteningly, "hip hop."

Just another reason to dislike that moron. Anybody that has a clue about the history of hip hop and remembers the lyrical genius of the 90's will most likely laugh at the notion Wayne is "one of the greatest." He's not, and his voice modulation just compounds the fact he's crap, similar to how Mr. West turned from rap to pop.
To put it short, this is one of the cases where folks like him "because they don't know any better", at least for the majority of Wayne fans.
