The first two minutes of the main theme for The Hurt Locker () are superb - kind of evocative of a western, which makes sense given the pacing and the nature of the lead character. Pity it had to lose to Up, but then Up has about the most bitter-sweet, nostalgic theme I've ever heard (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93jxkqG0gWc).
