I saw these guys play a show in town Saturday night. More enjoyable than I expected... angular, dance-punk adjacent band from Lisbon

I was in a newish bar called Modjo Lisboa here. There were signs about saying things like, "You have the modjo!" And bathrooms labelled "modjo" and "modj(a)".

So I asked. "What dafuq is 'modjo'?"

After the Brazilian bartender spoke briefly with their Parisian chef, they put this video on the TV:

It is hella corny. But I'm actually quite intrigued it became a bar/restaurant concept and Americans were wholly insulated like they lived in 1999 Albania all that time.
