RIP Lou Reed absolute legend. Will be wearing my Velvet underground t shirt out tonight and I will listen to a few albums when I come home drunk.

on a brighter note I could listen to this guy play guitar all night.

I probably first came across it in Trainspotting.

My comparative youth is my excuse for not catching on at the point it was released.
Lou Reed? I really had only around New Sensations to first understand what he was when his music was coming out (and really liked it even then). It only was years later that I discovered the Velvet Underground, or even the deeper cuts on Transformer, and the great release of New York.
