Alright, time for reviews of the 4 CD's I bought:
George Michael- Patience. Solid piece of work. His voice is as good as ever, and its a nice album to have after being away for almost 6 years. Not as good as "Listen without prejudice", but better than "Older"
Lenny Kravitz- Baptism. Welcome back to Rock n' Roll, Lenny. After your last disaster (can't even remember the name) I wrote you off for dead. He's back to the 70's influenced guitar rock that he's known for. Only complaint. A few too many slow songs.
Method Man- Tical 0 : Good God, what the hell is this?? Awful, just awful. IF there's any doubt that Ghostface Killer is the best member of the Wu-Tang Clan, his "Pretty Toney Album" far outshines this tripe. Nearly every single song has a guest on it, and that wouldn't be a bad thing if not for the fact that these songs sound like they were made for the guest stars and Meth sounds like a guest rapper on his own album. Ghostface totally outclasses Meth on their song "Afterparty".
The Streets- A Grand don't come for free. The best album of the bunch that I bought yesterday. Mike Skinner is the best hip-hop artist that no one has ever heard of, but that might change. A better album than his debut, "Original Pirate Material" and that's saying a lot. His style is not for everyone, as it is more spoken word than rhyming, and there's a lot of British slang, but the beats he's created are fantastic, and the stories behind his dialouge are great. The song "Dry your eyes" could very well turn into a big hit.
