Well, because research in atomic energy to me has been the most fundamental tool in lowering our dependency on fossil fules, which in the next 100 years will run us into the global warming and catastrofic climate changes.

But since I asked about an invention, and not a process, I simply couldn't contradict myself. (kak tebe otmazka?)

You know Eric, you can have a nice leather chair (to watch football), which will have a little fridge for the beer, space for several remote controls and if you press a button, it will turn into a bed.

As for a mobile phone- I strongly disagree. Your girlfriend will keep calling you over and over again. And you can be traced anywhere if you are in a zone of coverage.
