That’s very bad Italian after so many years btw

Happy that he’s learning it though, but at this speed it will take him 10 years to fully master the language. Now it’s limited while speaking about something he’s doing everyday
If I would not plan on staying in italy after my career is over, I wouldn't learn it either.

Just speak english like the rest of the world ffs.

Great point. And to be honest, Americans don’t have a need or desire to be bilingual. I assume he will probably finish out his career in the US and stay here. I wish I was fluent in Italian, but the reality of life here is that we don’t need anything other than English in this big, absurd country of ours.
