lost all of his duels and couldn't properly run in the 2nd half, rightfully taken off. still a good game overall, his main skill is that he still gets himself in good positions around the opposition box
I was dreading a midfield two of Locatelli and McKennie but Motta made it work well. He played to McKennie's strength of finding space around the box and avoided his weakness of getting on the ball by having Yildiz and Cambiaso drift centrally to help with the build up. I liked how him and Koop got up to support Vlahovic. The more bodies in the box, the better to convert chances.

Look it's very simple. When someone has the ball, the other players cannot have it.

If you have lots of players who like the ball, you need players who run to receive it.

This guy will ALWAYS be useful because he doesn't want the ball. He wants you to have it.

When you have a cm who ends up ahead of your #9 in attack and doesn't sacrifice defensively, then he will always be useful. Because if that was so easy then EVERY CM would do it. But it's not

What's not to like? He scores, he hustles so hard, he can carry the ball, create and pass it. I think any player looks bad in Allegri ball. In a team that actually wants to attack he will also look good.
