The moment you realize he is not a smart footballer was when he had the ball at his feet close to the corner flag at the 89th minute without any pressure from Chelsea players and decided to pass the ball inside instead of taking it to the corner flag. And that pass was awful, it was intercepted and Chelsea had a counter attacking opportunity. Allegri lost his shit on the touchline.

Tactically clueless.

Not long after coming on he has the chance to stop a Chelsea counter, he can't keep up with the player but could easily do a tactical foul to stop the break and take a yellow. Instead he does nothing, continues to get outrun and Lukaku goes 1 v 1 down the wing. Could have been very different.

Then in the 93rd minute he gets the ball near the corner, all he needs to do is take it to the flag. Instead he tries a pass he isn't capable of making and he gives possession back to Chelsea who break again.

That was pretty stupid. That’s football 101.
