As a good backup/part-time starter against lower tier league teams I could see him deserving the same amount of money. Look at Rugani's new wages. Gross 500K more and net 500K less than Wes''s present deal. If I was his agent tell management I have played well for the most part for Juve totaling 5800+ minutes last three years. Rugani has given you 2800+ minutes last three years and paid way more money.
Okay we realize you want/need wage structure lowered across the board, but I deserve at least the same amount of money and want slightly more. Now my guess thinking since Wes was absent last two matches, Motta might be thinking too he isn't in my plans even as backup so why resign him at all? Which if true than I see why offering him less and getting transfer money.
Wes though should realize it didn't go well in England and might not go much better this time around? Though he's a guy who wants to play and not just collect a paycheck on the bench less too many before him at Juve. Who knows if Wes and Co just say we will take our chances and wait for free agency.
