Imagine having that opinion while being a massive Throater and yet he still plays. And yet you’re still a huge Throater in spite of it all. Must really suck.
Nah. I think Allegri should be sacked. It should have happened several weeks ago.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Princess. Now get back to throating this fat tub of lard who doesn’t seem to even understand what sport he’s playing.

Remind me again what the wand waver has done to earn any sort of fans or praise? Allegri won us 11 trophies in 5 years. Mckennie? What’s he done? :boh:

He shouldn’t have been playing anyway. I’m one of the few McKennie fans here and even I’m saying that he should have been benched. Now Allegri basically killed our World Cup hopes as well. Seriously, fuck this guy.
I'm a fan too but my friend he has been subpar of late playing for the National team too. The US team as a whole has been subpar. For me very little optimism this go around they can even make it out of the group. Honestly think he shouldn't be starting but void of talent and who he is (more like was) means probably will start.

Back to Weston's play has since last WC qual match in 2/2022 totaled only 160 US minutes in 3 friendlies. Here's the take from some sites regarding player ratings last two friendlies.

Draw against Saudi A .....
Weston McKennie: 4 — A turnover machine for two games, often in the worst parts of the field for a man of his position.

And the earlier game loss to mighty Japan :sergio: ....
CM – Weston McKennie: 4 – It was tough to watch McKennie give the ball away (and then give it away again, and again) in the first half, whether the Japanese press was right in his face or nowhere near him. The below video of Daichi Kamada’s goal begins just after McKennie plays a perfect through ball (toward his own goal) to spring a Japanese counter-attack with plenty of numbers and momentum.

We can and I will continue to root for him but he's been only a liability of late for both teams.

PS Bjerknes current state of despair prevents me from showing the video. :vidal:

PSS My friend we're on the same side but unfortunately it's presently a losing one.:beer:

PSSS Looking forward to home field ad in 2026 lol.

Allegri did that all by himself, I'm sure. Once a Throater, always a Throater. ;)

It's no secret I care more about the USMNT than Juventus, so it shouldn't be surprising that I defend Mckennie. I haven't been defending him at all recently though, because he hasn't been good apart from the goals. I think a lot of it is poor coaching, especially since none of the players are really playing that well. Even your favorite Locatelli.

I agree, he hasn't been good for the US either. I think he needs to get out of Juventus to get his career going again, would be much better suited for the Prem, which is a better league with better coaches anyway.

it’s true Locatelli has been miserable to watch. Agree there

Seeing De Ligt in great physical shape and than comparing him to McKennie’s baby cheeks is a eye opener for me. The club is doing a horrible job in maintaining players at the top of their physical potential and there’s a lack of discipline of the player

McKennie has the potential to reach a decent level but that will never be the level of a starter in a team that wants to compete in CL. His ceiling is a lot lower than that. He looks very out of place this year and honestly after 2,5 years I fail to find any significant improvement.

We kinda failed in guiding him towards a useful box to box player and McKennie doesn’t have the determination to become a great player. He’s a logical name on our selling list.

Dude apparently likes burgers and fries, that isn't a representation of the nutritional standards of the club. If a player wants to eat shit he will in his own time, but you can only get so far with it in elite sport now.

Btw how do we know De Ligt is in great physical shape? Because Bayern train really hard, or because he looks thinner in the face? The latter is not very uncommon for someone moving from being a kid towards mid 20s tbh, you lose that "baby fat" as you get older. And he's also growing a beard.

He always had a stigma for being a bit overweight though, some absolutely cracking bs stories made up about him when he was at Ajax and Juve. And tbh I think that comes from his chubby baby face. He looks like a giant 12 year old.

De Ligt had that stigma around him following him since his youth, then that news recently came out following the news when he just signed at Bayern. I believe it. It wouldn’t surprise me if Bayern has a higher fitness standard compared to us and I don’t believe that his body fat was something that remained after his youth. Same for McKennie. It all comes down to dieting in a proper way.

Regarding McKennie, in the All or Nothing series he was 85.3kg with 18% body fat. That’s absolutely horrible, and he didn’t lose a significant amount of that. Yes, it comes down to the player aswel, but we do put him in a position where he has a good run of starts. I don’t see a big difference between the McKennie under Pirlo or current McKennie.

Our players should represent elite football, having two chins shouldn’t be accepted. I was always disappointed by Rugani aswel for not gaining any muscle since he was young. McKennie should obviously invest in becoming thinner, faster and more athletic.

Something is very wrong at the club, for me this is one of the areas where we should gain massive improvements. No wonder why we look out of breath or fail to press for 80% of the game quite often.

McKennie might be unlucky, every body stores fat in a different place and therefore doing sit ups to create a six pack when you’re fat is a waste of time. His body might store his fat on his cheeks or under his chin, but it’s a bit to late for the benefit of the doubt for me, because is still a portion of fat that he should not be carrying around.

that's certainly the case

still, mckennie is FAT for a professional athlete. look at danilo, vlahovic, milik, rugani, cuadrado, perin, even the oldie bonucci: zero fat. mckennie is the only fatso in the squad. go figure

Even them, I mean they’re fit but do they give you the impression that they’re above average fit (football world average)? They take better care of their body compared to Weston tho

Could miss the start of the World Cup.

He should have never come to this shit club.
the contradiction is funny here

juve is a shit club because it signs players like mckennie

imagine if juve was still a good club it used to be. they would have never called mckennie

none of them arrived from the worst ever bundesliga team (iirc weston's schalke holds the longest winless streak), under a proper recruiting system in place mckennie would have never had the chance to sign for juventus

also players like anelka never got close to the starting lineup
