In high tempo, high pressing team I think he could be a decent runner as a CM. Chasing down opposition and creating runs that opens gaps, may even nod in a header every 10 games. Not saying he would be brilliant, but a useful player. In this team where half the team expects a long ball from defense and half the team expects a slow build up through midfield no one really fits in. He can't run around because putting on pressure by himself opens space behind him. He can't have the ball 'cause he's still McKennie.
