Hey you lot,

Why do I find myself apologising for my extended and unexplained absences every time I log onto this place?

Thanks for your responses in my other thread about the French words. Anyhoo, I promised that I'd let everyone know what's going on before I leave, so here I am.

I'm using the internet service at Sydney International Airport right now. For those not in the know, I'm leaving for a mission trip to Guinea (on the West Coast of Africa). My flight leaves in about 3 hours, and the first leg of my journey is a 22 hour non-stop flight to Vienna, after which I'll catch a connecting flight to Paris, where I'll sleep for one night then catch another 6 hour flight to Guinea.

I guess I don't have that much else to say, except that I'll be back in Sydney on December 31. Hopefully when I get back I'll have a bit more time and I can check up on this place a bit more often, because I've been flat-out with preparation for my trip for the past few months.

Anyway, I'm glad I could get a chance to drop in and give an update, and I hope to talk to you all next year
