    Allegri: Sneijder can improve Juventus
    By Football Italia staff

Juventus Coach Massimiliano Allegri admits the Old Lady are looking at Wesley Sneijder, and believes the Dutchman would improve his side.

The Galatasaray playmaker has been linked with a move to the Bianconeri in recent days, with the Turkish side seemingly opening the door for a transfer.

Speaking in his Press conference ahead of tomorrow evening’s match with Inter, Allegri discussed the former Nerazzurri playmaker.

“I’ve spoken with the club and we have some very clear ideas,” the Coach informed journalists.

“The other teams have already made their moves, but reinforcing Juventus isn't a simple task. I think you can reinforce and also complete. It's not a secret, we're looking for an offensive playmaker and a defender, so I think that's where Juventus will move over January.

“It makes no difference whether they get here in three days, in one week or on January 30. The sooner the better, of course, so they can start fitting in.

“But for the moment the most important thing, I think, is having recovered everyone from injury, and especially having come back with drive after one week of holiday, because we needed that. I don't mind January for the mercato operations, I only mind it if we're not winning. As long as we're doing that, the mercato can stay open till June for all I care.

“About [Wesley] Sneijder, let's see if he comes before speculating on where he'll play. For the moment he's still a player with Galatasaray.

“The objective for Juventus has to be that of improving the team. And to improve on the technical level we must get players who are, qualitatively speaking, at the same level as those we already have, or even better.

“I think this team has the possibility of improving, regardless of the characteristics of the players. Sneijder of course has some great technical qualities and he's proven that over his career.

“He'd be completing a strong midfield, which would also create competition in that department, and that's important.

“January is a strange market. We have to be realistic and see which players we can get, and some of those can’t play in the Champions League.

“That’s not to say the Champions League is a secondary goal, because it’s a primary goal.

“When we prepare to face Borussia Dortmund we’re not doing it just to play two games, but to progress, because I think this team has the ability to progress in the Champions League.

“We’re convinced of that, because we showed it in the group stage.”

The former Milan Coach then turned his attentions to tomorrow’s fixture, and warned that Inter are better than their 11th place position would suggest.

“I'm nervous about Inter because they are a good team, an excellent team, with some individual players that can decide the match and make important plays.

“[Mateo] Kovacic, in spite of his young age, is in my view a player with a brilliant future ahead of him. He has some extraordinary qualities, I think he's one of very few players in the world that can execute a dribble on the first touch.

“All of their players are of excellent quality – [Mauro] Icardi, [Rodrigo] Palacio, [Fredy] Guarin, [Andrea] Ranocchia himself.

“They fell on some hard times in terms of results, but I think the team lately has been changing, they found greater confidence in themselves and the qualities of the players will emerge.

“As for my personal memories in terms of the derbies against Inter, I started out well, I won three of them, then I lost three. So it didn't go too well.”

Gala signed him for 7 million + bonus, there's no way anyone will pay 20 million.

They also recently got fined for failing FFP and their outgoings are massively outweighing their incomings at the moment, so they need to get rid of some high salaries.

I think if we do sign him it'll be for 7-8 million.

As I said in another thread, I think we'd be better off moving to a 4 3 3 of sorts. One winger wider the other Tevez with a free role.

well if thats the case then yea sure

but in dealing with what seems to be the formation of choice by daillegri we gotta do what we gotta do....he's all i think we can get at this stage with our spending power

honestly think that even if he does come we will still go for a younger badass AM this summer....relegating sneijder to a bit part role eventually while giving that AM the needed time to adjust...thats me making lemonade

    Buffon
    Lich - Bonu - Giorgio - Evra
    Vidal - Pirlo - Pogba
    Tevez - Llorente - Coman

This looks great tbh. Id rather try this than get Sneijder.
