I'm not convinced, however even at 4.5 million wages for a couple of seasons, it's not a particularly high risk signing. He's a very seasoned footballer, and at 30 should have some brilliancy left in him. At least to do very well in Serie-A.
It's not ideal, this, but I won't lose any sleep over this signing. It's not scandalous by any means. If we truly need a trequartista and he's the best available, I say welcome aboard until we can find a younger up and coming player for that role.
