To all the Juventus fans on this forum a big hello from a long time and long in the tooth Liverpool fan
Saw the match last night on tv, thrilled to bits at the first half, not so pleased with the second. Caught you on an off day perhaps.

Must admit you're never quite sure what sort of Liverpool your going to see this season, been impressive in the Champions League, stunk at times in the Premiership. whaddya do eh?

Looking forward to the match next week - bit of a knife edge but at least we should have Alonso available. Best of luck against Fiorentina (is it) - Hope you don't pick up too many injuries

Carragher, Riise, Alonso, Gerrard, Garcia, Baros and Morientes are all very good players, Liverpool just need to spend wisely in the right positions. Upgrades for Josemi and Traore are needed for sure.
Thats a very good analysis and you could add Cisse and Hamann to the list

Gerrard wont be sold under any circumstances unless he asks to leave. At one point this was a definite possibility over the summer he practically had signed for Chelski, now its a bit less touch and go though Milan and Madrid are also now said to be interested others too although the price tag would be frightening

For Juve fans, as you saw last night we are a lot better on our day than our position in the EPL suggests and that was almost our reserve team. The problem is not so much the players but we that we don't hold possesion which was our undoing second half. Benitez off the pitch and Alonso on the pitch will change that in time

Hello , I was at the game at Anfield and I'm a Liverpool Fan.

I hope our your fans felt welcome at Anfield.
Even though we won on the night we know you have a very strong team and it is only half time really.
Liverpool fans did not expect to win to be honest and our team performed to a level that we have not displayed in our domestic league.
We are honoured to have such high quality opposition entertain us at Anfield and this is the level at which we wish to compete again once again.
For any Juventus fans who attended the game at Anfield I would like to mention two things :

Some of your fans did not accept the Liverpool Club and Supporters efforts to show friendship and remorse for Heisel.
They turned their back and we understand this reaction.
Some people are unwilling to forgive and hate us with a passion for what happened and we understand that.

A large number of Juventus fans however applauded a Mosaic displayed by our famous "KOP" stand :)
However this was during a supposedly organised minutes silence and some sections of the Anfield crowd started booing afterwards as they felt the minutes silence had not been observed respectfully.

We did our best to make ALL your fans feel welcome and we do understand how some people will not forgive no matter how much we try.
We understand this because of our own Hillsborough disaster.

On a happier note the reat of the game was played in good spirit and the supporters were normal and passionate.
Juventus players were applauded off the pitch at the end of the game.

We are hoping ,rather than confident of victory in the next game against Juventus.

I hope everybody enjoyes the next game and all is peacefull for both sets of fans.

P.S It is best to lock the Trophy Cabinet when the Scousers come to town :) :) :)

Hello , I was at the game at Anfield and I'm a Liverpool Fan.
Hi, Welcome and a quick thanks to the liverpool fans for a great night last evening...

I hope our your fans felt welcome at Anfield.
We did it was in the most part a friendly occasion

For any Juventus fans who attended the game at Anfield I would like to mention two things :

Some of your fans did not accept the Liverpool Club and Supporters efforts to show friendship and remorse for Heisel.
They turned their back and we understand this reaction.
Some people are unwilling to forgive and hate us with a passion for what happened and we understand that.
Some fans didnt accept it.. that is true and we all knew that would be the case... You also have to look at the other 2400 people that welcomed and thanked you for the gesture.. you also have to look to our reaction to our own 'fans'
Also look at the applause going between us in block 122 and the fans next to us at the end... not to mention the swapping of shirts and scarfs between us and your fans.

The other thing you wont have seen.. is that after you had all left whilst we were held back... Your boys came out for their warm down and came over to us and we applauded and cheered them as they applauded us.. even one of your lot (riise maybe) being cheeky enough to approach us wearing of all things our beloved captains shirt... was welcomed

A large number of Juventus fans however applauded a Mosaic displayed by our famous "KOP" stand :)
However this was during a supposedly organised minutes silence and some sections of the Anfield crowd started booing afterwards as they felt the minutes silence had not been observed respectfully.
This im afraid is a mixture of different cultures.. in italy fans cheer and applaud during a minutes silence... it was nothing more sinister than that

We did our best to make ALL your fans feel welcome
And it is appreciated ... thank you

I hope to see you in turin

:wallbang: More sweeping generalisations

Crime in the city of Liverpool is no less nor greater than in any of the major cities in the UK and I've lived in several. I suspect its no worse than in any major city in the rest of Europe or for that matter the US

We are sick of the way we get portrayed in the media and even more sick of the so called scousers who live off that reputation

Liverpool is a wonderful vibrant city, due to become the European city of culture in 2008. Its people and heritage come from a rich variety of nations including Italy. There are certainly problems with housing unemployment and drug abuse but paradoxically there is also an openess honesty and humour which isn't shared by some of our a*** retentive compatriots

You may believe the mantra of the thieving scouser but its the same all over the world, tired, prejudiced and ignorant

What this has to do with football on a footballing website I dont know

Yeah I know. Just joking.

Liverpool is pretty cool I agree. The only thing that really sucks here is the locals taste in fashion :D

Shadow fax

This was seen and was noted and appreciated, Ive read as much on YNWA website

The applause was confusing during what was silence but I also understand that on the continent this is the way you pay your respect

The reaction of the ultras (Druighi) was not surprising and most of our fans understood that feelings in Turin still run very high. Only since Hillsborough have we in truth we really been able to understand this

Reconciliation has started with some with others it will take a long time if ever. We understand this too

Pretty embarassing that the anfield fans were not forewarned that in Italy that you respect the minutes silence with applause.

Malachy , don't get hung up on the Scouser jokes mate people have to put up with much worse, and it is quite amusing to be honest.

Great to hear a Juventus fans point of view on this and I'm sure our players would have been over whealmed with your fans applause at the end - Thank You, and good luck for the next game - You'll need it ! :) , PEACE

Wow, I am surprised this is still here, I mean no other club fans had its own thread that was "sticky"-ed...Do Juve fans like Liverpool for some reason?
