just a thought!!!

we did manage to qualify to the quarter finals of the Champions league!!! but we only managed to get 7 points!!! which is equal to Basel and Deportiivo!!!

i was very unempressed with our campaign!!! we barely made it! and we were not much better than last year! where we also managed only 7 points!!!

3 from Leverkusin 4-0
3 from Arsenal 1-0
1 from Deportivo 0-0


and don't forget that our reserve team was able to beat arsenal and not the first team!!! IMO if the first team had played arsenal we would of have lost to them!!!

what is it that should be done!
we are playing good football in Italy and managing to beat most of our opponents!! but in Europe we are slugish and we barely manage a good result!!!

beating deportivo 3-2 in extra time was pleasure to me but after thinking about it we shouldn't of have let them score the 2 goals they did!!!

our away form has been extremly terrible as our last 3 trips to england yielded 3 defeats!!! we could only manage 1 away win which was against Dynamo Kiev and again our reserve team managed to pull that result!!!!

again i ask what should we do about this?
is it the lack of players? ( i personaly don't think so)
is it that our players are nervous playing europe?
is it lippi not preparing well?
lack of concentration?

what are ur thoughts?

we lack quality at the back, and we lack quality in midfield. Come to think of it, the only place where we don't lack quality is in goal!

You Are Damn right Tom, Our Back line and Midfield need to be strengthed by some High quality Class players to have a chance of winning this title next year. for this year i think lippi should no more play with 4-2-3-1 tactic cause with this tactic we always loose the midfield battle ( Holding & Possession ) and always depend on counter attacks and never build pur own plays . so I think we should revert to the 4-4-2 or 3-4-1-2 or even 4-3-1-2 and this should be our formation.

i do not agree with this formation as it seems u r suggesting we play with a 3 man defence with wing backs

Thuram has been our best defender because of his attacking and defensive qualities but if u put him in the centre, he does not excel there as he never knows when they r trying to play offside

Camo is not a wing back, too slow for that for one and u r taking away his attacing threat that way anyways


And I am totally 4 the not playing montero with Ferrara as much as poss

him and ferrara haven't been doing great, but at least Ferrara has had some impressive games (Milan). but we have no choice. they are the best options!

i've sugggested this formation before. it is very similar to the one above, but i think it should be more offensive. with depth in the middle of the field.

It's a complicated formation, but it suits the player positions.

in europe, we can't sit back and defend, the oponents are too tough. So Juve needs to control the game and not depend on counter attacks.

I think this is good enough.

I like it, but I have a few issues:

1. Del Piero plays on the left, not the right
2. Ferrara is a right back, not a left back
3. The only difference between attacking and defending is Zamby's position and he will always push up anyway.

i like this man but some changes must be done!!!
Tudor cannot play in that position!!!! the man is a good player but his passing in midfield is terrible!!! we need someone else! and for davids he won't be as effective as Zambrotta would be there!!!

so my suggestion
Tachinardi in place of Tudor!
Davids in place of Tachinardi
Zambrotta in place of Davids!

this would seem better!

What season are you talking about cos its surely not this season. Montero for me has to go down as one of our best ever defenders but lately he has not been able to cut it

He is not even getting yellow cards anymore which means his aggressive nature and strength are no more in evidence

If Tudor is as good as you guys suggest then he should be played there and not in midfiled where he always seems lost

Ferrara and Montero are no more a formidable patnership, they can get by in serieA where there isnt as much attacking, less pace and linesmen bailing them out of sticky situations by blowing for imaginary fouls and offsides but in Cl they are cruelly exposed

True, and Tudor could help this, but not much. An in-form Iuliano is the solution, but he is not reliable. Thus our need for a new back.

besides he is not very old for a defender!

and concerning Tudor! he should not play in midfield! and watching him loose balls all the time in midfield i wonder, can we afford a player losing balls in our defense!!

although he scored a good goal against depo that put us in the CL quarter finals! but this guy still needs to work on his game!!

The guy is a defender so what do u expect, what if Montero is played in midfield how do u think he will perform? The thing is that Tudor showed a lot of promise and ever since Sacchi converted Rikjard from a central defender to a holding midfilder, every one wants to do it,

Tudor might just be our best central defender but we will never know as he is never played there then again he might not be so good but like I said we might never know
