Well, it should be behind a desk, but he plays CB.
:dontcare:

There just seems to be something about British players travelling abroad.

Either they can't cope with the style of football, or they can't get used to no fish and chip shops at the bottom of the road.

Or maybe it's a language thing. When I've been to Spain, Greece, etc, the Brits expect the locals to speakey the Englishey...you know...gimmey, twoey beersey see vue pleasey, matey:D

Campbell,

.

OK, some of our players in our team probably doesnt deserve our glorious shirt any more than Campbell, but can you imagine him wearing the same shirt that Baggio, Zidane, Platini, Siviori, John Charles, Kohler, Cabrini, Scirea, Tardelli, Vialli, Deschamp, Buffon, Nedved, Zambrotta, Perruzi, Zoff, Bettega, Rossi, Boniek, Gentile and Del Piero once wore and wear?
Not in a milion chance I would say.:D

No, but i can c him wearing the shirts that Tudor, Iuliano, Salas, zalayeta, oliviera and fresi wear 2day, he is definately a quality centre back as he was 1 of englands best defenders at the euro and in the EPL this year, whether he would adapt to italy is a different question but u cant deny his class

There's no way we are going to sign Campbell, its all a smoke screen I think for some other big name defender, no idea who though.

IMO Campbell is a world class defender, he makes mistakes but so does every1 and if he was paired up with thuram i could see this working, however i cant see him coming to Juve so it dosent really matter

Everyone is entitled to have their opinion, but I strongly disagree that Campbell is a worldclass defender. Firstly, the pros on Campbell is that he is excellent defender physically, and imposing on the air. It is very difficult to outmuscle him, which makes job very hard for striker especially in holding key positions. Furthermore, I think he is very likable guy, who can mesh with team-mates, and defense is all about group effort.
However, his negatives are that he doesnt have the smartest of brain, and any clever forward who have know-how in off-the ball movement, and technical ability can tear him apart. Beside, his ability to tackle is nowhere near the level of Cannavaros, Nestas, Samuels, Chivus, et al. These are players who have far-better understanding and capabilties than Campbell ever had or ever will IMO.
To conclude, Campbell is a very good defender, especially given specific role to perform, but world-class refers to very selective group of players, the very best in the world, the critiera which he does not qualify. Beside, Iluliano, Salas, Tudor have been terrific players in the past, far better than Campbell IMO. It's just that they havent got the legs anymore due to series of injuries and age. As for Olivera, Fresi, Birindelli, et al, they are called role players: Cheap alternative who either have potential and specialist atrributes. Campbell would be quite an expensive role player IMO.

Yea what your saying is true but i still think that Campbell belongs with the select few, there are only about 10 world-class centre-backs and along with Nesta, Cannavaro, Samuel, Lucio, Maldini, Ayala. I do not believe his name would be out of place in this category, he is not on the level of these players in some aspects of his game but he can certainly compete with them, hes not coming to Juve so it dosent really matter

Me too... I also happen to think that he's overrated but that's a different story altogether
overrated? I'd say the correct term is "heap of steaming cow dung"
